God’s greatest purpose in bringing us to a place where we don’t know what to do is to realize that we need to seek Him.
— Lane Eaton

Great job, choir, singing "Jesus You Are Welcome Here" last Sunday.  Jennifer did a wonderful job on the solo and I believe you set the mood for a great service.  Pastor continued the series through 1 & 2 Samuel with a great message called "Hope Revealed."  On Sunday evening, we had a report from the Mission Team to Montana reminding us of the wonderful work God is doing through the Buckner's in Kalispell.  Then Bro. Lane brought a powerful message from II Chronicles 20.....it was a good Lord's Day indeed.

We've been getting ready and talking about it for weeks, and now it's time for our end of summer Old Fashioned Singin'.  We have compiled our top ten songs and we'll sing them all this Sunday night at 6:30 p.m.  Our choir will kick it off, and I hope we have every seat in the choir loft filled!  East Mountain will be here to provide some good old gospel bluegrass with banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass and more.  Bring some goodies for our fellowship to follow in the gym.  Please get on the phone, e-mail, facebook or whatever means you have and invite everyone you know to join us for a great time this Sunday!

School has started and our fall schedule is kicking in, and this would be a great time to invite someone to join us in choir or orchestra.  You'll find new cd's for fall ready on the resource table in the choir room.  We have some old favorites like "Cry Holy" and Thanks" along with some new songs like "Break Every Chain" and "Great Are You Lord" that I believe you'll enjoy.  Soon we'll provide you with another cd that will have our Christmas music on it.  We are really looking forward to our Christmas concert with guest Keron Jackson on December 11.  I'm looking forward to a great fall of worship at FBCLC.
