Worship is like breathing: you’re created to do it all the time.
— Joseph Garlington

What a great worship service that was!  It was such a joy to celebrate America with the orchestra playing "God Bless America" and the choir singing "My Country Tis of Thee."  My, what a great job both the choir and orchestra did!  A video reminded us that the greatness of our country is undeniably due to the blessing of Almighty God.   Pastor PM challenged and blessed us with his message from 1 John 5 on the victory we have in Christ.  Also, we heard of two upcoming mission trips and prayed for one of our young ladies who is moving to Germany for a year.  What a great day it was!

Next Sunday we'll start the day with the choir singing "Glory and Honor."  Our pastor will be on vacation, but we will be blessed to once again have Bro. Lane Eaton preaching the Word.  The following Sunday the choir will sing "Your Great Name" with Megan and then on July 24 we look forward to hearing Walter sing "Untitled Hymn."  By the way, don't forget our Sunday night fellowship called THE COOKOUT.  There will be some great water slides for the kids and adults will have tables for games as well as traditional jam session with anyone who plays an instrument or just wants to sing.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be ready at 5:30 - hope to see you there.  Hey, this would be a great time to invite someone you know and bring them with you.

Thanks so much for letting us know when you are going to be out of town this summer.  I hope you'll also do you best to be here for rehearsals in July as we'll be preparing for the Old Fashioned Singing on Aug. 28 as well as going over songs we'll be singing on Sundays. Don't forget to vote for your favorite songs - voting sheets are available in the choir room and at the welcome center.   We will take two weeks off rehearsals on Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 while I am on tour with the Singing Men and then on mission trip with our church to Montana.  Pray for our team as we prepare to serve the Lord and minister to the Buckner's.
