Show me a church that loves the gospel and loves each other and I’ll show you a church that loves to sing.
— Travis Cottrell

It was a joy to worship our Lord with you last Sunday!  Thank you, orchestra for beginning the service with "This Is the Day."  Thank you, Jeff and choir for blessing our hearts with "Never Once."  The singing was wonderful - the Word was preached and God was glorified.  I'm looking forward to this Sunday as we honor our fathers and worship our Heavenly Father.  Our choir will begin the service this week singing "Let It Rise," and I pray that we may truly "let the glory of the Lord rise among us."

Vacation Bible School is here!  Suzanne and our workers have been so busy getting ready for a great week with our children next week, June 20-24.  We are expecting a large group of children to come and learn about creation and the Creator - many will be from homes of unchurched folks in our community.  Please pray that the presence of the Lord will be evident and that children may come to know Him in a personal way.  Due to the activities of VBS, we will not have choir or orchestra rehearsals next week.

Remember, we are putting together a list of old-time gospel songs so that our church can vote on our "top ten" for the Old Fashioned Singing on Sunday, Aug. 28.  Our choir will sing, the congregation will sing the favorites and then we'll be blessed by the ministry of  East Mountain with some good ole gospel bluegrass.  It's going to be a great time!
