Worship is simply cherishing the glory of God.
— Ron Mann

"Arise, arise, let's crowd the gates...."  what a way to start a great day last Sunday!  Choir, you blessed my heart singing that great proclamation of praise.  I was also thrilled with the congregational singing - especially the new song "This Is Amazing Grace." What a joy it is to sing out loud with the people of God.  It was great to have Jayme Blankenship, Kilgore College BSM director, with us on Sunday morning, as well.  Jayme does a tremendous job with 300-400 students each week at our Baptist Student Ministry.  Wow!  I appreciate his ministry and value him as a friend.
This Sunday will be an unusual day for us.  Both choir and orchestra will have the day off as we are led in worship by Reid Johnson and Blake Kelch, who will also be leading our weekend DiscipleNow for students.  We look forward to lifting our voices in praise and hearing the Word preached with power.  Will you join me in praying for Bro. Tim and the student leadership team as they invest in the lives of our kids in such a wonderful way - perhaps the Lord will add to the kingdom this weekend.
I hope you are preparing for Night of Praise on May 1 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church.  The demo cd's are available on the table in the choir room and you are welcome to take your music home to prepare.  It's going to be another wonderful time of worship with a huge choir and orchestra - I hope we have a great group of our choir members to attend and lift up the Lord that night.
