Well, we've had our grandbaby catch-up time for a few days, and now we're home and ready for Holy Week. I want to say thanks again to Bro. Tim for doing such a wonderful job in leading our church in worship this past Sunday. I should also say that before lunch was finished on Sunday, I was already receiving messages similar to this, "Brother, we rowed the boat with Tim today. You'd have been proud!" What a hoot!
Just a reminder that our schedule this week calls for regular rehearsals on Wednesday at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. - hey, since we do not have Wednesday night supper at the church, this will be a good night for a post-rehearsal get together at Denny's. Plan to join us there right after choir rehearsal for some food and fellowship. Remember our Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and then our Resurrection Celebration next Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Our ladies trio will be sharing "The Power of the Cross" at the Good Friday service, and, of course, the choir and orchestra along with Julie Cox will raise the roof next Sunday with "This Blood."
I had some time on our trip to think about our church and the direction of our worship ministry....and I believe I have a word to share with you about what kind of music our church needs to be singing. More about that next week as we meet together and begin to prepare for Night of Praise II at Woodland Hills BC on May 1.
