Above all sing spiritually. Have an eye to God in every word you sing....and see that your heart is not carried away with the sound, but offered to God continually.
— John Wesley

It was a good day in the Lord's house last Sunday!  The orchestra did a great job playing "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord."  Jennifer blessed our hearts singing "Your Kingdom Reigns."  There was a great spirit of worship and the word was preached and on top of that we got to see Bro. Bruce and Mrs. Patsy.  It was a great day indeed.

Spring break was great (and wet!), but I missed being with you last Wednesday.  We're back this week, and Holy Week is upon us.  This Sunday we'll celebrate Palm Sunday with palm branches waving and "hosannas" ringing.  The choir will open the service with "Blessed Is He."  Bro. Tim will be leading our worship in both the morning and evening services while I am away on vacation for a few days.  Debbie and I are looking forward to having a few days with our kids and our youngest granddaughter at a retreat with their church in Florida.  Please pray for us as we travel and pray for Tim as he prepares to lead our services.

Next week we will have rehearsals on Wednesday.  Our Good Friday service, which we have had at noon in the past, will be held on Friday night at 6:30 p.m.  It will be a time together to focus on what the crucifixion means for us.  Then the following Sunday, we'll lift our voices and celebrate the resurrection with a great morning of worship - including the choir singing "This Blood."  After that, we'll start preparing for Night of Praise on May 1 and Pentecost Sunday May 15.  We have a lot happening - and a God who is worthy of all praise and glory!
