When a man falls on his knees and stretches his hands heavenward, he is doing the most natural thing in the world. Something deep within him compels him to seek someone or something outside himself to worship.
— A.W. Tozer

You did a splendid job opening last Sunday's morning worship with "I'm Standing on the Rock."  Great job, basses!  We had a very good Lord's day giving praise to our Lord, recognizing our Veterans, praying over all those Operation Christmas Child boxes, hearing the Word as our pastor proclaimed it, and welcoming new members to our church.  Then on Sunday evening we had a great time of fellowship with our annual chili cookoff.  Our own Linda Allen took home the prize this year.  Now I'm looking forward to next Sunday as we will focus on Thanksgiving.  The orchestra will begin the day with one of our all time favorites, "Give Thanks."  Then on the 27th, the choir will begin our service with, "Thanks."

We have one more rehearsal before Thanksgiving....which means we have one more rehearsal before our Wednesday, November 30 rehearsal with Keron Jackson.  We'll meet that evening at 5:45 p.m.in the gym for a lite supper (Chick-Fil-A - $5).  Then we'll move to the worship center at 6:30 p.m. for rehearsal and a good time to meet Keron and sing praises to our Lord together.  If you would like to eat with us that night, please sign up in the choir room or let us know by Sunday.   Also, we have posters and postcards ready for you to use in inviting people to join us for our night of worship on December 11.  I hope you'll help us get the word out and invite everyone you know for this great time - especially those you know who need to hear how Christ can change your life and give you hope.

"Give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!  Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him."  Psalm 1051-2a
