Worship is nothing else but rendering to God the honor that is due Him.
— Stephen Charnock

Wow, what a great Lord's Day we had this past weekend.  It started with the choir doing a fabulous job singing "We Have Come Into This House."  Our pastor began a new series for the new year called PRIORITIES.....and what a message it was!  It was amazing to look into God's Word from Acts and see what the early church did as they were empowered by the Holy Spirit.  The challenge to us was to be that kind of church in Liberty City today.  Then on Sunday evening we had the rare blessing of hearing one of my heroes, Sam Jansen, as he told about the mission work in Rincon del Tigre, Bolivia.  Over and over he said, "God still has a work for that mission and school," and we certainly agree with that word.  It was so good to see Sam and Panfi again and catch up on all the things the Lord is doing there.

Just a reminder that tonight at the beginning of rehearsal we'll take a few minutes to look at our new worship planning software.  Charlotte, our music ministry assistant, will join us to show you how you can log on each week and see the order of worship, the worship team list, listen to demos and even download music.  We believe WorshipPlanning will be a helpful tool for us as we seek to involve more of our folks in the priority of worship.

Next Sunday we'll begin the day with the choir singing "The Church of the Living God."  Pastor will preach the second of two messages on the Church, and I believe we're going to have another glorious day together.
