Worship is not long distance communication - it is intimate communion with God
— Buddy Owens

You blessed my heart last Sunday.  I can't think of a better way to kick off the advent season than by having our choir sing "Joy," and you knocked it out of the park!  Thank you, Julie - thank you choir.  We baptized two more (without splashing the back row of the choir this week!), lit the first Advent Candle and had a great time in worship.  Our pastor began a new series of Advent messages....what a wonderful day of worship.  I'm looking forward to next Sunday as our Childrens Choir will begin the day singing "Christmas Hymn."

Christmas musical is just around the corner.  We have rehearsal this Wednesday at our regular time - it will be an important time to put the finishing touches on the songs we'll be singing.  Then, the following Wednesday, Dec. 9, we'll have a combined rehearsal for choir/orchestra at 6:30 p.m. in the worship center.  This will be our time to set mic levels and work on music with the orchestra.  Then on Saturday, Dec. 12, we'll have a rehearsal for choir/orchestra/drama at 9:30 a.m. in the worship center.  Thanks for the extra time you are giving to make this a very special event for our church.

Last Sunday morning I mentioned the promo cards we have available for our Christmas musical.  This is the week we want to use those cards in contacting people you know to invite them to "HOME FOR CHRISTMAS" on Dec. 13. You can hand a card to someone, or mail it....or if you'd rather, just give us a name and address and we'll mail it for you.   I'd love to see the worship center filled for what I believe will be a life-changing night.  Please pray about who the Lord would have you to contact.
