What a Sunday! The morning service was a wonderful time of worship and study as the children's choir sang "Joyful, Joyful" and our pastor preached that marvelous passage from Heb. 1. Then on Sunday night, oh my, what a time! Thank you so much for bringing it - from the children's choir, to the orchestra, to the worship choir and the tech guys, it was a tremendous time. And how about that cast? Cori, Kristi, Kevin, Raymond - thank you for the hours, effort and prayer you gave to make it such a delightful event. We had a great host of folks who came - thank you so much for getting the word out and bringing your friends and family. HOME FOR CHRISTMAS was truly a blessing for those who came, for those who participated and I believe the Lord was glorified in it all.
We will not have rehearsals for choir and orchestra again until Jan. 6. That will give us a little time off before we begin our Spring 2016 semester - which will offer some great new opportunities for worship. I can't wait to tell you about our plans for Easter (March 27) and also Night of Praise II in Longview in May. Children's Choir will begin a new semester on Jan. 10 with a new format (same time, 6:30 p.m.) Pastor will begin a "don't miss" series of messages called PRIORITIES which will include messages on the church, the ordinances, worship, preaching and much more. 2016 is looking like a great new year for FBCLC.
Next Sunday Becky and Vicky will share the Christmas classic "All is Well" in the morning service. We'll be taking the Lord's Supper together as well. Then on Sunday evening, I hope you'll join us for our annual Christmas Caroling at 5:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to come at 4:30 to decorate cookies that we will take with us on our rounds. This is a great time for us to visit many of our homebound members as well as connect with our community. We need lots of singers!
